Its that time of the year...to go to the graves to clean and do some prayers...I was one of them at the Sg Besi Cemetary...the place was jam packed...couldn't move, parking was limited, it was hot and the place was muddy (it rained earlier)..got some pix...
also did you know there are some dos and don'ts on Qing Ming? I myself is not aware on some of them...
1) no one does it on the 6th day after Qing Ming...dunno why...any idea?
2) no one does it on the 6th day before too...this one claimed not too *happening* for those with low *energy* if you know what i mean..
3) the best offerings are chicken, fish and roast pork..all also i like...
4) don't use watermelon, papaya, bitter-gourd, or winter melon..in chinese the ending is *gua* means die...so you don't want your ancestors to die twice..
5) don't write names...
6) no-nos for pregnant women
7) the list goes on....way too many....i did notice nowadays, there's body guards, bras, handphones to be burn...it used to have only cars, watches, now even credit cards too
