Nicol is still the champ...

The longest women's final on record, and one of the classics as well...and Nicol only led in the fifth game...phew...and she has now extended her winning streak to 33 matches...the result Nicol-Natalie 1-9, 9-7, 3-9, 9-5, 9-2.
"I'm so glad that match is over!

"In the first I was just waiting to see if she was going to try to do something from the back corners, but she just kept it going, which made me want to do things and I made a few errors.

"She was giving nothing away, and at times I was wondering what I could do.

"I had to reassess my game and play safe for a long time. I was having doubts about my shots as she was getting them all back, so I just had to not give anything away.

"There were rallies and rallies, crazy rallies all the time - I was forced to wait as she was giving me nothing to attack."

"Then, in the end, she gave me a few opportunities. In the fifth I had to make sure I got a lead, and I had just enough left to take it on from there.

"I'm so pleased with the way I played, it took so much to be patient, not to go for shots just for the sake of it.

"I didn't realise how much pressure I was under until the last shot, then it all just hit me. At the end my head just went, the sudden relief hit me.

"It was my first time as number one and world champion, and I knew everyone was expecting me to win, so at the end I just let it all out."

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS!!!

My cellphone history...

My First Cellphone the Nokia 2146E back in 1996...y
ou could use it to eat crabs :-)

It was too bulky later, the ericssons were much smaller and lighter but I was still a Nokia guy, found this cost effective, small and lighter model the 5130

Soon the phone died, upgraded to the 3310. it was one of the first few phones with melodies you can download (by SMS that is!!) or compose yourself. Btw this phone is durable, dropped it couple of times, infact dropped it into the drain, took it up, dried it with a hair dryer and walah it still works!! then later it got really wet in the rain and *kapooted* :-P

Took me 2 weeks to decide what phone to buy (it was paradise...no phone calls) after 3310 *kapoot*, finally decided on the 6150, this was even smaller than all my previous phones, had problems locating it a couple of times and all the while it was in my shirt pocket :-D. It was a cool phone, my first wap and GPRS feature phone...was browsing all the time, even when on the go.

The 6150 lasted very long, it was a cool phone but soon it died, the firmware was beginning to give problems, and the peer pressure was it had no COLOR screen and no camera. Opt for the new 6101 at that time, it got released a week earlier...it was cool, it had a simple VGA camera, EDGE, clampshell and it had COLOR.

Wife's Samsung died and wanted a phone, liked my 6101, says Nokia always better...she took mine and had to find a replacement quick...without hesitation, took the company phone subsidy and got the BenQ-Siemens S88...what i can say...ok lar...wished it was a Nokia...

Btw, I'm still using my same Digi number since 1997 at that time they were known as Mutiara Swisscom providing Digi 1800. Other players were Celcom 011 & 019, Emartel 013 (then to TM and now Celcom), Binariang 012 (now Maxis), Sapura's Adam 017 (then to Time and now Maxis) and Mobikom's Mobifon 018 (it died...). Why i chose Digi, i dunno, maybe it was always a smarter choice :-D
