Cook with Jamie

The Wise man has spoken....

Leeds United's new manager Dennis Wise has told the players to show their nasty side in their bid to arrest their dismal Championship run.

"They're down on confidence and I told them I wanted them to be the Leeds of old," said the 39-year-old.

"I want nastiness and togetherness and I've explained that to them. The fans get behind them and they're fantastic."

Nicol wins 7th title of the year

Nicol David extended her winning run to 22 matches as she collected the Hong Kong Open title - and $12,750 - with a straight games win over Tania Bailey.

"I made a good start but if you gave Tania any room she'll take advantage, which is what she did in the second.

"She didn't make any errors in that spell, playing a good game, and I was putting it to the front too much, she's deadly up there. So I had to make sure she would have to work hard to get any more points, and fortunately it worked.

"I thought I played a good match, felt really good and with a good rhythm, I just pushed on to the end of the match.

"The court is great, it was a bit warmer tonight than yesterday, so I just managed to get to some shots I might have missed yesterday. The atmosphere is great, such a good crowd and there were lots of Malaysians here to support me."

*lam ngar*

oh, *lam ngar, nei oi pin yak kot brand? thats the respond I got when I went to a handphone shop asking for a Bluetooth headset. *lam ngar* is a direct translation in cantonese for bluetooth, - lam as in blue and ngar as in tooth, thought to have started in Hong Kong. They're really good at this kinda translation (*bluetooth, which brand do you want?)Anyway, me finally got me Motorola H500 Bluetooth headset, Roland helped get it for me from the Kiasuland. A lot cheaper there, infact any accessories are cheaper there...

Acupressure

Here's a plug for Mr and Mrs Ong...they're my parent's friends and provide accupressure service at their free time. My dad has been receiving treatments from Mr Ong for the past few weeks and recommended to my wife. She has been having some back pain and all that...after the first treatment which lasted about 40 minutes, she felt a lot better. So I thought, hey why not, lets try this accupressure thingy...wife said it was good, I said it hurts like HELL especially around the neck. anyway it did felt better after the treatment, the neck felt a lot *loose*, not too tight...going for my next session in a few days time...

22nd...

I can't take it anymore, one more of this and i'll have a heart attack...4-0 to stoke at elland road....this is the new low...

Goody citizen

wanna be a goody citizen? then carry your digital camera where ever you go...JPJ is encouraging motorists to take a photo or video of those committing offences i.e. driving on the emergency lane, queue cutting, overtaking on double lines, jumping the red light, etc. Then send the photo or video to kpjpj@jpj.gov.my and make sure that if you're driving, don't take any...it has to be done by the passenger else you'll be in trouble too. ;-P

and BTW, you may have to act as a witness afterwards...
