yes...its very true!!

its very true...we're really obsessed with *EST* (it's true... & We're obsessed.....), another proof to this is Genting's First World Hotel. Its the largest hotel in the world and Guinness World Records is confirming this under "Feats of Engineering for Big Buildings". A total of 6,118 rooms, more by 1000 rooms compared to the previous *champion* MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Vegas - 5,005 rooms.

In fact the whole of Genting has more than 10,000 rooms (total of 6 hotels)

Doha Double Delight

2 Asian Games gold from squash...Nicol David and Ong Beng Hee, Congratulations!!!

World Number 1, Nicol downed defending Champion Rebecca Chiu of Hong Kong, 9-0, 9-3, 9-3 in 34 minutes. Nicol lost out to Rebecca 4 years ago and now has a sweet revenge.

And defending Champion, Beng Hee downed compatriot, Azlan Iskandar, 5-9, 9-1, 10-9, 9-5 which lasted 73 minutes.

"There is no thought of revenge. It is more about wanting to win that medal. She is a hard player to play and I had to keep her out of her comfort zone.
"It was a good match and I feel really ecstatic. It was the last day of the last tournament of the year and there was so much pressure on both girls leading into the game. It has been a great year and a great way to finish off by winning here."

The toll rates are out!!!

Do you believe it?! An increase of 30 sens to RM1. And at LDP, the rates are up by 60 sens and KESAS up 70 sens..thank god, I don't use the highway frequent!!

NKOTB's Merry, Merry Christmas Album

I'm looking for NKOTB's Merry, Merry Christmas Album, anybody has got a copy, to sell or loan (then i can rip them to MP3s). Originally released in 1989.

Colleagues or friends?

Caught an episode of *House* last night on AXN, it was about a lesbian pair, one of them wanted to break up and was ill that she couldn't sleep for 10 days....however that part did not catch my attention!! it was more on Cameron and Foreman *side* story...Cameron accused Foreman of stealing her report on some research...she put the report on House's table 3 months earlier and Foreman got his on his table just 2 weeks ago and got sign off or something by House...a twist in the situation led Cameron thinking and approach Foreman at the end (of the episode) to make up and said they should apologize to each other blah blah blah....and here comes the best part...Foreman's reply -

10 years from now, when meet up at a church or at a convention (a long this line lah...can't remember exactly!!) we're just gonna shake hands, give a hug thats all...we're just colleagues not friends!!!

So what are you, a colleague? or a friend?

It's true...

It's true, we're really *obsessed* with *est* (see we're obsessed.....), and i can verify this again...this time we want to build an even LONGER forest canopy walk in the world!! we've already got the LONGEST one in Pahang, at the National Park. The new one which is near Kenyir Lake, Terengganu will be 400 meters longer than the National Park one. And it costs RM5 million to build. Its cofirmed! We're an obsessed lot....

My Fav plane...the Voight F4U Corsair...

The Voight F4U Corsair is a classic plane designed with an outsized propeller and "bent" wings that makes it AWESOME. With the huge 2,804 cubic inch (46 liter) Double Wasp air-cooled radial engine developing 1,850 hp (1,380.6 kW), the only way to convert that kind of horsepower efficiently into thrust was with a huge Hamilton Standard Hydromatic, 3 blade prop which measured 13 feet 4 inches (4.06 meters) in diameter. It was first launched in 1st May 1940.

And how was I introduced to this plane..a classic television series back in the 70's called Baa Baa Black Sheep starring Robert Conrad as Major Greg "Pappy" Boyington and his World War II Black Sheep Squadron.

a home draw....

Leeds drew at home...a 2-2 Yorkshire derby with Barnsley. According to Mr Wise, we could have won but couldn't convert those chances...and who saved the day? The loan duo Kandol and Ehiogu. Well Mr Wise seems optimistic towards the coming games...we'll have to see...

Some news on the toll rates

Some analyst are suggesting motorists to be prepared for an increase of between 10 sen and RM1 on toll charges on the earlier mention highways.

The analysts, who spoke on condition of anonymity, agreed that the increase was no surprise, having been stated on the concession agreements.

Nicol is still the champ...

The longest women's final on record, and one of the classics as well...and Nicol only led in the fifth game...phew...and she has now extended her winning streak to 33 matches...the result Nicol-Natalie 1-9, 9-7, 3-9, 9-5, 9-2.
"I'm so glad that match is over!

"In the first I was just waiting to see if she was going to try to do something from the back corners, but she just kept it going, which made me want to do things and I made a few errors.

"She was giving nothing away, and at times I was wondering what I could do.

"I had to reassess my game and play safe for a long time. I was having doubts about my shots as she was getting them all back, so I just had to not give anything away.

"There were rallies and rallies, crazy rallies all the time - I was forced to wait as she was giving me nothing to attack."

"Then, in the end, she gave me a few opportunities. In the fifth I had to make sure I got a lead, and I had just enough left to take it on from there.

"I'm so pleased with the way I played, it took so much to be patient, not to go for shots just for the sake of it.

"I didn't realise how much pressure I was under until the last shot, then it all just hit me. At the end my head just went, the sudden relief hit me.

"It was my first time as number one and world champion, and I knew everyone was expecting me to win, so at the end I just let it all out."

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS!!!

It was a crucial away win... a 2-1 win @ Plymouth, goals from Blakey and Lewis...now we're out of the relegation zone....yipee!!! please keep it up....

My cellphone history...

My First Cellphone the Nokia 2146E back in 1996...y
ou could use it to eat crabs :-)

It was too bulky later, the ericssons were much smaller and lighter but I was still a Nokia guy, found this cost effective, small and lighter model the 5130

Soon the phone died, upgraded to the 3310. it was one of the first few phones with melodies you can download (by SMS that is!!) or compose yourself. Btw this phone is durable, dropped it couple of times, infact dropped it into the drain, took it up, dried it with a hair dryer and walah it still works!! then later it got really wet in the rain and *kapooted* :-P

Took me 2 weeks to decide what phone to buy (it was paradise...no phone calls) after 3310 *kapoot*, finally decided on the 6150, this was even smaller than all my previous phones, had problems locating it a couple of times and all the while it was in my shirt pocket :-D. It was a cool phone, my first wap and GPRS feature phone...was browsing all the time, even when on the go.

The 6150 lasted very long, it was a cool phone but soon it died, the firmware was beginning to give problems, and the peer pressure was it had no COLOR screen and no camera. Opt for the new 6101 at that time, it got released a week earlier...it was cool, it had a simple VGA camera, EDGE, clampshell and it had COLOR.

Wife's Samsung died and wanted a phone, liked my 6101, says Nokia always better...she took mine and had to find a replacement quick...without hesitation, took the company phone subsidy and got the BenQ-Siemens S88...what i can say...ok lar...wished it was a Nokia...

Btw, I'm still using my same Digi number since 1997 at that time they were known as Mutiara Swisscom providing Digi 1800. Other players were Celcom 011 & 019, Emartel 013 (then to TM and now Celcom), Binariang 012 (now Maxis), Sapura's Adam 017 (then to Time and now Maxis) and Mobikom's Mobifon 018 (it died...). Why i chose Digi, i dunno, maybe it was always a smarter choice :-D

Cook with Jamie

The Wise man has spoken....

Leeds United's new manager Dennis Wise has told the players to show their nasty side in their bid to arrest their dismal Championship run.

"They're down on confidence and I told them I wanted them to be the Leeds of old," said the 39-year-old.

"I want nastiness and togetherness and I've explained that to them. The fans get behind them and they're fantastic."
